JEE Main 2027 Admit Card

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official National Testing Agency notices

The admit card is downloaded from jeemain.nta.nic.in and is the only document that fixes your date, shift and centre.

When it is released

The 2026 bulletin said the city intimation slip would come first (tentatively the first week of January for Session 1 and the second week of March for Session 2), followed by the admit card three to four days before the exam date. The admit card is never sent by post, and a duplicate is not issued at the centre.

How to download

  1. 1

    Open the official site

Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and open the Admit Card link for your session.

  2. 2

Enter your application number and password, or date of birth as the page asks.

  3. 3

    Check the details

Verify name, photograph, signature, paper, date, shift, reporting time and centre address.

  4. 4

    Print on A4

Take a clear printout along with the self-declaration (undertaking) and fill it in.

What the admit card shows

  • Application number and roll number, name, date of birth, category and PwD status.
  • Paper(s) opted, medium of question paper.
  • Exam date, shift, reporting and gate-closing time.
  • Centre name and address, and instructions for the exam.
  • Photograph and signature as submitted in the form.

What to carry

  • Printed admit card with the filled self-declaration.
  • One passport-size photograph, same as uploaded, for the attendance sheet.
  • One original, valid photo ID: school ID, PAN, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with photograph, Class XII board admit card with photograph or bank passbook with photograph.
  • PwD/PwBD certificate if you claim relaxation, and a simple transparent ball point pen.
  • Nothing else: no phone, calculator, watch with electronic features, bag, geometry box, food or water. Sikh candidates may wear the kara and kirpan.

Discrepancies and missed admit cards

If the admit card cannot be downloaded, call the NTA helpline 011-40759000 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. If there is a mismatch in details, photograph or signature, contact the helpline and still appear with the downloaded admit card; NTA will correct the record later. Candidates are advised to report two hours before the exam, and those who arrive after gate closing are not allowed in.

No admit card is issued if the application is incomplete, including a doubtful photograph or missing signature. Issue of an admit card also does not mean your eligibility is accepted; it is scrutinised later.
