What JEECUP is
JEECUP stands for Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh. The council conducts one entrance test, widely called the UP Polytechnic exam, and then runs online counselling for diploma seats in participating government, aided and private polytechnics of the state.
The test is organised in groups. Group A is for the engineering and technology diploma after Class 10, Group B for agriculture engineering, and Group E (E1 and E2) for pharmacy after Class 12. Other groups cover areas such as hotel management, biotechnology and aircraft maintenance engineering.
