About AEEE
The Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination is the computer based test Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham uses to admit students to B.Tech at its campuses, including Amritapuri, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Chennai, Amaravati, Faridabad and Nagercoil. It suits Class 12 students with strong Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics who want a private university seat, and a JEE Main percentile can be used instead of an AEEE rank. Seats are filled through Amrita's own CSAP counselling, and most carry scholarship slabs. For the 2027 cycle, the admissions site shows applications starting in November 2026 and an exam window of 15 April to 7 May 2027, but exact phase dates are not announced.

What AEEE is
The Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination is a computer based test used to admit students to B.Tech programmes across Amrita campuses. A candidate can also use a JEE Main percentile instead, and may apply through both routes with the same fee.
Your final AEEE rank uses the best percentile across the phases you attend. Admission is through the Amrita Central Seat Allotment Process (CSAP), where you choose campuses and branches after ranks are published.
Scholarship based seats
The admissions page says more than 70% of seats are in the scholarship category, with separate allocations for AEEE and JEE candidates, and there is no non-scholarship or management quota for the year. Tuition follows scholarship slabs 1 to 4. The fee structure was marked as to be updated, so check the site for the latest amounts.
Amrita states there is no cutoff system: seat allocation depends on rank, the number of applicants and preferences, which vary every year.
Do not rely on a fixed JEE/AEEE seat split
Some websites quote a 70:30 split between AEEE and JEE Main. The official page does not state a fixed share, so confirm it in the current brochure.
Campuses
The official page mentions eight engineering campuses without naming them. The seven above come from the branch lists reported by secondary sources, so confirm the list on the admissions site.
