About REAP
REAP, the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process, is the online counselling for B.Tech/B.E. and B.Arch seats in Rajasthan, run by the Centre for Electronic Governance with the Department of Technical Education and RTU Kota. There is no state entrance exam: JEE Main percentile is the primary merit basis, and Class 12 board percentile is used for candidates without a qualifying JEE Main score. It suits Rajasthan candidates and others eligible for government and private engineering colleges in the state. Registration, choice filling and seat allotment happen online in rounds. The 2027 schedule has not been announced; 2026 registration ran in May to June 2026.

What REAP is
REAP is a centralised counselling run by the Centre for Electronic Governance with RTU Kota and the technical education department. Candidates register online, fill college and branch choices, and receive seats on merit.
REAP is not an entrance exam. Per the REAP-2026 information booklet, candidates with JEE Main 2026 percentile of 20 or above are ranked on JEE Main, and others on their Class 12 board percentile.
Seat quotas
Counselling is held separately for Rajasthan candidates and other-state candidates, and the REAP-2026 booklet reserves 15 percent of AICTE approved intake (excluding supernumerary seats) as an out of Rajasthan quota in private engineering institutes, self-finance courses of autonomous Rajasthan government colleges and government universities. Seats left unfilled in that round merge into the open category for Rajasthan candidates. We have not verified an overall 85:15 split for government colleges.

Rs 10,000 is adjusted against the college fee of the finally reported institute (booklet). Check the booklet for refund rules.
