JEE Main 2026 Admit Card

The JEE Main 2026 admit card is the mandatory entry document for both Session 1 and Session 2 of the exam, issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) directly through the candidate's login on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Unlike some other competitive exams, NTA does not dispatch admit cards physically by post — the only way to obtain it is to log in with your application number and password (or date of birth) and download the PDF yourself once it is released, typically about a week before each session's exam window opens.

The admit card is far more than a formality — it is the document that determines where and when you sit for the exam, and it contains critical information you should verify the moment it's available: your name and photograph exactly as submitted, your allotted exam centre with full address, the date and shift timing of your exam, and your reporting deadline at the centre. Because exam centre allotment is finalized at this stage and cannot be changed afterward under normal circumstances, checking the address early gives you time to plan travel and accommodation, especially if your allotted centre is in a different city than you expected.

For candidates who appeared in JEE Main 2026, the admit card remains relevant well after exam day — it is often requested again during JoSAA or CSAB document verification and physical reporting at allotted institutes, since it serves as proof of having appeared for the exam under the stated identity and category. It's a good practice to keep both a physical printed copy and a digital backup (emailed to yourself or stored in cloud storage) safely until the entire admission process, including reporting at your allotted college, is fully complete — NTA's own portal access to older admit cards may not remain available indefinitely after the counselling cycle ends.
