About JEE Advanced 2026
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in the world, conducted annually by one of the IITs on a rotation basis. It is the gateway for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at 23 IITs. Only top 2.5 lakh rank holders from JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be among top 2,50,000 rank holders in JEE Main 2026
Age limit: Born on or after October 1, 2001 (Gen/EWS/OBC)
Age limit: Born on or after October 1, 1996 (SC/ST/PwD)
Maximum 2 attempts in consecutive years
Class 12th passing year: 2025 or appearing in 2026
Must have scored minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST) in class 12th
