What GUJCET is

GUJCET stands for Gujarat Common Entrance Test. GSEB conducts the exam for students seeking B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharm in Gujarat. Group A is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for engineering, Group B is Physics, Chemistry and Biology for pharmacy, and Group AB is for students who want both.

GUJCET alone does not decide your seat. ACPC Gujarat makes a merit rank by combining the GUJCET percentile with Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and then runs online counselling for the seats.

GUJCET and JEE Main in Gujarat

ACPC uses a Home State Merit Rank from GUJCET and Class 12 marks for most seats in government and grant-in-aid institutes and for part of the unaided seats. The small All India quota seats are filled on JEE Main rank. If you are a Gujarat student, write GUJCET even if you also write JEE Main, because the state merit rank cannot be made without it.
