About GCET Goa
GCET Goa refers to the professional degree admissions handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa. For 2026-27 the official prospectus, dated 30 April 2026, did not require a separate GCET paper. B.E. merit lists were made from JEE Main 2026 scores, B.Pharm from JEE Main or NEET, and B.Arch from NATA and HSSC marks. The process serves Goa-based and eligible students aiming at colleges such as Goa College of Engineering and Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, through in-person rounds at the DTE office in Porvorim. The 2027-28 prospectus is not out yet, so confirm the route when it is released.

Is there a GCET exam?
The DTE website still shows menu entries called GCET Application Form, GCET Results and GCET Answer Keys, but the GCET application form linked there is a 2023 file. The Common Prospectus for 2026-27, dated 30 April 2026, lays down a different route for the session: B.E. merit lists are made only from JEE Main 2026 scores, B.Pharm merit from JEE Main or NEET 2026, and B.Arch merit from NATA.
So for 2026-27 there was no separate GCET paper that candidates had to write. Several coaching websites still describe a GCET written test with its own pattern and syllabus; we have not found that in the official prospectus, so this page does not list a GCET exam pattern or syllabus.
Conducting body
The admission authority is the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa, led by an Admission Committee chaired by the Director of Technical Education. It is not the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, which conducts the HSSC (Class 12) exam.
