TS ECET is for candidates who already hold a diploma or a B.Sc with Mathematics and want to enter the second year of a degree in Telangana.
About TS ECET
TG ECET, also written TS ECET, is the Telangana entrance test for lateral entry. It is meant for diploma holders and B.Sc (Mathematics) graduates who want admission to the second year of B.E. or B.Tech, or to B.Pharmacy. It is conducted online by a university appointed by the Telangana Council of Higher Education, and Osmania University held the 2026 exam on 15 May 2026. The rank card is used for online phase-wise counselling for seat allotment. The test suits students from the diploma stream who prefer a degree without repeating the first year. The 2027 notification is not out, and the early 2027 dates shown are estimates based on the 2026 cycle.

What TS ECET is
The Telangana state ECET is conducted every year by a university appointed by TGCHE. For the 2026-27 academic year, Osmania University conducted it for lateral entry into the second year of B.E./B.Tech in university and private unaided professional institutions approved by AICTE, and B.Pharmacy in institutions approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
The state now writes the exam name as TG ECET, so you will see both TS ECET and TG ECET online. They are the same exam. The official website is ecet.tgche.ac.in.
