GUJCET 2027 Eligibility

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board notices

Eligibility differs slightly between sitting GUJCET and getting an ACPC seat.

Academic criteria

For engineering, you need to pass Class 12 (Science) with Physics and Mathematics and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or an allowed technical vocational subject. The GSEB booklet covers who can sit the exam (Std 12 Science from GSEB, CBSE, CISCE or other recognised boards, with candidates appearing in Class 12 allowed); the 45% (40% reserved) minimum for ACPC admission is as reported by portals and is set in ACPC rules. For pharmacy, Physics and Chemistry with Mathematics or Biology are needed.

Students appearing in the Class 12 exam can write GUJCET, but admission is subject to passing with the required marks.

Other criteria

  • Home State quota seats need Gujarat eligibility as laid down in the ACPC rules.
  • Candidates from other boards must satisfy ACPC rules on board equivalence.
  • Read the ACPC admission rules for the exact age, domicile and certificate conditions.
