REAP 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Centre for Electronic Governance notices
REAP has no test, so preparation means a good JEE Main percentile, a strong board score as a fallback and careful counselling planning for the May to July registration and choice-filling window.
Plan
- Prepare for JEE Main.
- Keep Class 12 board marks strong as a fallback.
- Prepare domicile and category certificates early.
Timeline to follow
- January to April: sit both JEE Main sessions; a percentile of 20 or above puts you in the first merit priority.
- April to May: get domicile, category, income and medical certificates in the portal formats before registration opens (13 May in 2026).
- May to June: register, pay the Rs 885 fee and submit the form before the deadline (12 June in 2026).
- June to July: study previous year round-wise data, then fill and lock choices in the order you truly prefer.
- After allotment: pay the reporting amount only for a seat you intend to keep, and use upward movement if a better seat is possible.
Choice filling
Rank your choices by genuine preference and keep safe options. Upward rounds let you move to better seats later. Keep back-ups such as JoSAA or other state counselling in mind, since REAP seats run in parallel.
