AEEE 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham notices
AEEE questions are at the Class 12 level, so strong basics and speed matter more than advanced tricks.
Strategy
- Give Mathematics the most time: it carries 40 of 100 questions.
- Practise NCERT questions first, then timed mocks.
- Use the official Amrita practice portal to learn the interface.
- Learn to skip: wrong answers cost 1 mark each.
- Practise Quantitative Aptitude and English a little every day; they are short but easy marks.
Time and section plan
The paper gives 150 minutes for 100 questions, about 90 seconds each. Mathematics has 40 questions worth 120 of 300 marks, so it decides the rank. Physics (25) and Chemistry (20) add 135 marks, and Quantitative Aptitude (10) and English (5) add 45 marks that need almost no study. With +3 and -1 marking, a guess is worth it only when you can remove two options.
- 1
Months 1 to 2
Finish Class 11 and 12 Mathematics from NCERT with chapter tests, then Physics and Chemistry basics.
- 2
Month 3
Take sectional timed sets, starting with the 40 question Mathematics block in 55 minutes.
- 3
Final month
Take full 150 minute mocks every 3 days and revise formulae and Chemistry facts between them.
Two attempts
If you attend Phase 1, you can improve your score in Phase 2 for an extra fee, and the best percentile counts. Treat Phase 1 as a serious try, not a practice run.
Also keep JEE Main alive. You can apply to Amrita with a JEE Main percentile, so a good JEE Main score gives a second route, and JoSAA and CSAB remain available as back-ups.
Mistakes to avoid
- Ignoring Quantitative Aptitude and English because they are short; they are 45 marks.
- Guessing heavily in Mathematics, where a wrong answer costs 1 mark and also time.
- Skipping slot booking, since the admit card is only issued after it.
- Filling CSAP preferences with only one campus.
