Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP / UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam)
JEECUP is the Uttar Pradesh entrance test for diploma admissions in polytechnics, mainly the three year engineering diploma after Class 10. The 2026 test was a CBT held on 2 to 9 June 2026, and seats were filled in seven counselling rounds.

Counselling is fully online. In 2026 it ran for seven rounds, starting around 25 June and ending with Round 7 allotment on 3 September 2026.
Counselling steps

Register and pay
Register for counselling with the rank card details and pay the counselling registration fee notified in the brochure.

Fill choices
Lock your institute and branch choices in order of preference.

Seat allotment
The system allots a seat by rank, category and choices. Check the result on the portal.

Accept the seat
Pay the seat acceptance fee (reported as Rs 3,000) and download the allotment letter.

Report to the institute
Go to the allotted polytechnic with original documents before the last date.
Round structure
Reported 2026 allotments: Round 1 on 1 July, Round 4 on 30 July, Round 5 on 11 August, Round 6 on 24 August and Round 7 on 3 September. Rounds 6 and 7 were for candidates who had not been admitted, as reported. The reporting last date for Round 7 was reported as 10 September 2026.
