JEECUP is the Uttar Pradesh entrance test for diploma admissions in polytechnics, mainly the three year engineering diploma after Class 10. The 2026 test was a CBT held on 2 to 9 June 2026, and seats were filled in seven counselling rounds.

JEECUP Group A is a Class 10 level paper, so a steady plan of two to three months is enough for most students.
Preparation plan
- Finish the Class 10 Mathematics book first, since it carries about half the marks.
- Revise Physics and Chemistry from the Class 10 textbook with a focus on numericals.
- Solve previous year question papers and keep a chapter wise error log.
- Practice on a computer to get comfortable with CBT navigation.
- Aim to attempt all 100 questions in 150 minutes, about 90 seconds each.
Mistakes to avoid
- Applying for groups you are not eligible for.
- Missing the choice filling lock time in counselling.
- Ignoring branch preference and filling only one college.
- Not keeping originals ready for reporting.
