BITSAT 2027
BITS Admission Test (BITSAT)
BITSAT is the only route into the B.E., M.Sc. and B.Pharm. programmes of BITS Pilani's Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. It is a 3-hour computer-based test of 130 questions (390 marks) with an optional set of 12 bonus questions, and you can take it twice and keep the better score.

Cutoffs rose in 2026
Most programmes closed higher in 2026 than in 2025, especially in lower-demand branches (for example Pilani Chemical rose from 210 to 226). Do not plan around a cutoff from an older cycle or from a third-party site; use the official page.
How to read these cutoffs
- BITSAT has no opening or closing ranks. A cutoff score is the lowest BITSAT score at which the programme's last seat was allotted across all iterations.
- These are final cutoffs after all iterations. A first-iteration cutoff is higher because candidates drop out and seats move later.
- The Pilani campus usually closes higher than Goa and Hyderabad for the same branch, as the table shows.
- Earlier years used a 450-mark scale (before the current 390-mark format), so cutoffs from 2017-2021 on the official page are not comparable to current ones.
- A third-party figure that does not match these tables is not official. Some pages on the web quote a Pilani CSE closing score of 327; the official 2025-26 and 2026-27 figures are 304 and 308.
There is no qualifying cutoff
BITS does not announce a separate minimum qualifying BITSAT score for appearing. What matters is whether your score, preferences and Class 12 marks fit within the programme-wise cutoffs at the time of each iteration.
