Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Birla Institute of Technology and Science notices
BITSAT does not publish an all-India rank list. You see your score on screen at the end of the test, and merit is determined by that score later.
How you get your score
- At the end of the test, the computer shows the number of correct and wrong answers and your score.
- You must enter your scored marks in the test window before logging out.
- The score report is available on the admission website a few days after the test, with a printout option.
Which score counts
If you take both sessions, the higher of the two scores is considered for admission. Your score is out of 390 for the standard 130 questions, and bonus questions can push it up to a maximum of 426.
Merit list and tie-breaking
Candidates who submit the admission application with Class 12 marks, preferences and fees are ranked by BITSAT score. Ties are broken in this order:
- Score in Mathematics (or Biology for B.Pharm., Env. and Sustainability Engg. and M.Sc. Biological Sciences).
- Score in Physics.
- Score in Chemistry.
- Total positive aggregate marks.
- Preference to the female candidate.
- Older application ranked higher.
What next
Submit the admission application by 1 June (2026 timeline) and wait for the iteration lists. Scores do not carry over to the next year, so a candidate who improves must reappear.
