Documents and details to keep ready
- Aadhaar card details that match the application; you must carry the Aadhaar card to the test centre.
- Class 10 and Class 12 marks, board name and roll number.
- Recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the on-screen instructions (the brochure does not publish exact file-size figures in the pages we could read, so follow the portal).
- Class 12 marksheet or certificate for 2026 results, which must be uploaded at the admission application stage if already issued.
- Disability certificate, if you need a scribe or extra facility; email bitsat@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.in with the subject 'PWD CANDIDATE'.
Corrections after submission
You can edit the form only during the announced edit window. Gender, email ID and mobile number cannot be changed, and the brochure states that the test city also cannot be changed during the edit window. No email requests for corrections are entertained.
Session 2 had its own edit window in 2026 (7 to 9 May as per the brochure).
Common mistakes
Avoid these
Picking only one session when you wanted both (you cannot switch after paying), mismatched Aadhaar details, not booking a slot in the window, and forgetting that the admission application with Class 12 marks is a separate form. Never pay anyone claiming to guarantee BITS admission; the only official site is admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to apply separately for each BITS campus?
No. One BITSAT application and one admission application cover Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.
I forgot my application number. What do I do?
Check the email and SMS sent after registration. If you cannot find it, email bitsat@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.in from your registered email ID.
