Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test
MHT CET is Maharashtra's state-level CBT for engineering, pharmacy and planning admissions, run in two groups, PCM and PCB. Results are percentile based after normalisation across shifts, and seats are filled through the CAP rounds.

MHT CET 2027 Result
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell notices
MHT CET gives percentile scores, not marks. Percentiles are computed per session, which is how the Cell normalises across shifts.
Normalisation and percentile
Because candidates take the exam in many shifts with different papers, the Cell converts raw scores to percentile within each session. The percentile of a candidate is 100 times the number of candidates in that session who scored equal to or less than that candidate, divided by the number who appeared in that session.
The topper of each session gets 100 percentile. The Cell computes percentiles up to 7 decimal places to reduce ties. Percentile is not the same as percentage of marks.
Subject and total percentile
Percentiles are produced for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (or Biology) and the Total. The Total percentile is not an average of subject percentiles. It is calculated from the total raw score.
Physics and Chemistry percentiles are not interchanged between groups or attempts.
Two attempts and best percentile
In 2026 the first and second attempts each had their own normalisation. A candidate who sat both attempts has the best of the two Total percentile scores used for admission. The best is chosen only from the Total, not from subject percentiles.
Raw marks matter inside your shift
A high raw score in a hard shift and a similar score in an easy shift can give different percentiles. Do not compare raw marks across friends in different shifts.
How to check the result
- 1
Login
Use your credentials on the CET portal.
- 2
Open scorecard
Download the scorecard for each group and attempt.
- 3
Check the answer key and responses
The Cell displays responses in the candidate login and runs an objection facility. Objections must be raised through the login in the schedule, since other modes are not considered.
2026 reference numbers
For the PCM first attempt in 2026, 4,79,332 candidates registered and 4,54,069 appeared, and 26 scored 100 percentile. The result was made available on 15 June 2026. The PCB first attempt result came on 9 June and the PCB second attempt on 18 June 2026.
After the result
Percentile feeds into the CAP merit lists. Tie-breaking rules for merit lists are set in the CAP brochure. Register for CAP on the admission portal, upload documents and complete verification.
