MHT CET 2027 Preparation

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell notices

Percentile ranking means you must be both accurate and fast. With no negative marking you should attempt every question.

Strategy

  • Cover Maharashtra State Board Std XII textbooks fully, since they carry 80 percent weight, then the listed Std XI chapters.
  • Maths is worth 100 of 200 marks in PCM, and there are 50 two-mark questions, so speed in Maths matters.
  • Practise the 90-90 minute structure: you cannot go back to Physics and Chemistry once Maths opens.
  • Attempt every question as there is no negative marking.
  • Take mocks on the CBT interface; the Cell provides a mock link.

Subject tips

SubjectTip
MathematicsPractise short, formula-based problems; aim for under 1.5 minutes each
PhysicsRevise formulae and units; do derived-numerical practice
ChemistryMaster NCERT-style facts, periodic trends and organic reactions
Biology (PCB)Read state board textbooks line by line; Biology has 100 questions

Books and materials

Use Maharashtra State Board Std XI and XII textbooks as the base, then previous papers and JEE Main-level practice for PCM (the Cell says difficulty is at par with JEE Main) and NEET-level practice for Biology.

  • Mismatch of Aadhaar or APAAR details at registration
  • Choosing the wrong paper language, which cannot be changed
