    Open uptac.samarth.edu.in and sign in.

  2. 2

    Open the allotment letter

    Choose a status

Select Freeze or Float and pay the seat fee.

How merit is decided

For B.Tech, allotment follows your JEE Main rank, category and domicile. Seats are filled round by round in order of merit. Tie-breaking rules are in the Information Brochure.

What each allotment status means

  • Freeze: you accept the seat, pay the acceptance fee and stop competing for upgrades.
  • Float: you keep the seat but remain eligible for a better choice in the next round; you can only move up, never down.
  • Auto-freeze: in Round 4 in 2026 the allotment was frozen without further choice change.
  • Internal sliding: in Round 5 a candidate could move to a better branch within the same institute only.
  • Special rounds: for vacant seats, with a separate fee that is not refunded after allotment.

After allotment

Keep a copy of every allotment letter and fee receipt, since physical reporting and document verification at the institute follow each freeze. Seat acceptance fees (Rs 20,000 for General and OBC and Rs 12,000 for SC and ST, per the 2026 Counselling Procedure) must be paid before the round deadline or the allotment is cancelled. If you also hold a JoSAA or CSAB seat, follow the withdrawal rules of each process.
