UPTAC 2027 Cutoff
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University notices
UPTAC has no qualifying cutoff beyond the minimum marks and JEE Main eligibility. Opening and closing ranks are published after the rounds.
Opening and closing ranks
AKTU published the opening and closing rank details for UPTAC 2026 on 19 July 2026 (notice on the portal), and the older portal hosts the 2025 OR-CR. I have not verified specific ranks, so none are quoted.
How to read the ranks
- Opening rank is the first rank allotted a seat; closing rank is the last.
- Ranks differ by quota, category and gender.
- Closing ranks move up in later rounds as vacated seats are reallotted.
Use last year's closing ranks as a guide, but keep a buffer.
Why third-party figures differ
Education portals publish UPTAC closing ranks for colleges such as KIET, IET Lucknow, HBTU and MMMUT, but their numbers for the same college and branch often differ by a large margin. Some quote Round 1 and others the last regular round, and some quote projected 2026 values built on 2025 trends. For example, reports for IET Lucknow CSE vary between roughly 32,000 and 41,000 in 2025 Round 1, so we do not quote any single figure.
- Always check which round, quota (Home State or Other State), category and gender a figure refers to.
- Download the official opening and closing rank notice for the round you are studying.
- Compare the same branch across Round 1 and the last round to see how far ranks relax.
- Mix colleges with closing ranks above and below your own JEE Main rank in your choice list.
