Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA)
TNEA is not an entrance exam. It is the centralised online counselling for B.E./B.Tech seats in Tamil Nadu, and merit is decided purely by Class 12 marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. This hub covers the process, dates, fees, rank calculation, reservation and rounds.

Why the 2027 dates cannot be fixed yet
DoTE publishes a tentative schedule marked 'subject to approval from AICTE'. It is usually released in spring, after the state Class 12 results are known.
The 2026 schedule did not fix dates for supplementary counselling and SCA to SC conversion. They were announced after the Class 12 supplementary exam results.

Frequently asked questions
When will TNEA 2027 registration start?
DoTE has not announced it. In 2026 it started on 3 May, so a May 2027 start is a reasonable expectation but not confirmed.
Does TNEA wait for Class 12 results?
Yes. Ranking uses Class 12 marks, so the schedule is planned around the Tamil Nadu HSC results.
