Corrections
Errors found during certificate verification are flagged by the TFC and you can correct them while verification is open (8 to 29 June in 2026). After the rank list, a grievance window of about six days (1 to 6 July in 2026) handles mistakes in the ranking.
Common mistakes
Avoid these
Wrong marks entered, uploading non-digitally signed community certificates, forgetting to tick special categories, and registering with a mobile number you cannot access. Marks are tallied against the board database, and a mismatch delays your rank.
Frequently asked questions
Can I apply if I am from outside Tamil Nadu?
Yes, if you meet the nativity rules. Candidates who studied Classes 8 to 12 outside the state need a nativity certificate; certain central government employee children and Sri Lankan Tamil refugees have separate proofs.
Is the application fee refundable?
Registration fees are generally non-refundable; check the brochure.
