I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) B.Tech admission counselling
IKGPTU does not hold its own entrance test for B.Tech. Under the Punjab Government notification for 2026-27 it runs the online centralised counselling jointly with MRSPTU, and seats go on inter-se merit of the qualifying Class 12 examination. Reading cutoffs
IKGPTU publishes round-wise cut-off rank PDFs for each course on the Centralized Online Counselling page. Ranks are IKGPTU counselling merit ranks, not JEE Main ranks. The table below uses the official Round 2 file for 2025-26 (verified 15 July 2025); 2026-27 cut-off files were not on the page when checked.
Closing ranks usually relax in later rounds as seats fall vacant, so compare Round 1 and Round 2 numbers for the same course, quota and category.

Quota and round effects
Punjab residents compete for 85 percent of seats and outside candidates for 15 percent, with both counselled simultaneously, so a rank that is weak in the State quota may still work in the Other State quota, and the reverse. Reserved category candidates are first considered in the general category. Seats surrendered after a round reopen in the next one, which is why later-round closing ranks differ from Round 1. Note your category rank, not only your overall rank, when you compare with last year's data.
