CENTAC 2027 Exam Pattern
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Centralised Admission Committee notices
CENTAC holds no entrance test, so there is no exam pattern or syllabus.
What decides your rank
- Government quota B.Tech seats: merit score is the average of Class 12 Mathematics, Physics and one more eligible subject, out of 100, rounded to three decimals.
- Self-supporting B.Tech seats and other-state candidates: JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 score.
- B.Arch: 50 percent weightage to JEE Architecture or NATA and 50 percent to the qualifying examination.
- NEET based courses: NEET UG rank.
- Lateral entry: average of Semester 3 to 6 diploma marks, or B.Sc marks other than language subjects.
How the merit score works (2026 brochure)
Part II of the 2026 brochure sets the merit score for government quota seats as (Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3) / 3 with Subject 1 Mathematics, Subject 2 Physics and Subject 3 any one eligible subject. Ties are broken by Mathematics percentage, Physics percentage, the third subject, total marks, earlier date of birth and then a computer generated lot. Boards are normalised before the common merit list is made.
For self-supporting seats the merit score is the JEE Main Paper 1 score. A third-party formula of Mathematics + Physics/2 + Chemistry/2 does not match the brochure and is not used here.
Why there is no admit card
Since no paper is held, no hall ticket is issued. The documents you need are the application acknowledgement, the merit list entry and later the allotment order.
