UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT)
UPESEAT is the entrance test of UPES Dehradun for B.Tech. It is a 125 question, 2 hour online test, and UPES also accepts JEE Main, SAT, board merit or CUET-UG as alternate routes.

UPES does not publish a rank based cutoff for UPESEAT. Selection works on score bands and the alternate-route minimums, not on closing ranks.
What is published
Selection and scholarships depend on UPESEAT score along with Class 12 marks and the programme chosen. The minimum scores for the JEE Main, SAT and board merit routes are marked to be announced on the 2027 page. Check the UPES scholarship section for slabs when they are released.
How to judge your chances
- Meet the eligibility floor first: 50% in Class 10, Class 12 and PCM, and 70% for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing.
- With 125 questions and no negative marking per the Candidate Guide, every extra correct answer lifts your score directly, so there is no penalty for guessing.
- Score slabs for scholarships are not on the pages we could open (the UPES scholarships page is at upes.ac.in/admissions/scholarships); we list none here.
- Competitive programmes such as computer science fill earlier, so apply in an early phase.
