MP DTE runs the centralised online counselling for B.E./B.Tech in Madhya Pradesh. There is no state entrance exam: merit is made from JEE Main rank for one track and Class 12 marks for the other.

MP DTE 2027 Exam Pattern

There is no MP DTE entrance paper, so there is no exam pattern or syllabus.
What is used instead
Merit is built from JEE Main or Class 12 marks. For the JEE Main pattern see the JEE Main hub on this site.
Because there is no test, admit card and syllabus pages are not provided for MP DTE.
How the merit basis works (2026 schedule)
- Round 1 is based on JEE Main 2026 merit. Registration for admission on Class 12 (higher secondary) marks was open from 2 June to 18 July 2026, with the rest of the process following the second round.
- Round 2 allotment is made first on JEE Main 2026 and then, for vacant seats, on Class 12 marks. DTE advises eligible JEE Main candidates to take part on the JEE Main basis.
- Because Class 12 based allotment depends on vacant seats, taking JEE Main keeps more options open.
Where to prepare
To improve your merit on the JEE track, prepare for JEE Main. For the Class 12 track the lever is your board marks in Physics, Mathematics and the third subject.
