Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Directorate of Technical Education notices

Counselling runs in main rounds followed by college-level counselling.

Round structure

  1. 1

    Round 1

Registration, choice filling, merit list and allotment.

  2. 2

    Round 2

Fresh registration window for the JEE track, then choice filling and allotment.

  3. 3

    CLC

College-level counselling in several phases for vacant seats.

Fees and seats

Tuition fees are fixed by the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (afrcmp.org); no other fee is payable to the allotted institute. Seat counts are on the DTE seat chart and total intake pages and change by year.

TFW (tuition fee waiver) seats sit alongside general pool seats for eligible candidates.

Rules

  • The counselling fee is non-refundable.
  • Candidates admitted at more than one place can be cancelled, as recent DTE notices warn.
  • Candidates found ineligible after provisional admission may lose the seat.

Seat acceptance fee

The 2026 student guidelines list only the Rs 1,000 partial tuition fee paid at registration, which is transferred to the admitted institute and should be adjusted against the tuition fee you deposit there. A Rs 10,000 seat acceptance fee seen on some third-party pages could not be found in the rule book or guidelines, so it is not relied on here.

Domicile seats

Government and autonomous institutes keep 5 percent NRI and 5 percent All India seats; the rest are MP-domicile seats, and unfilled NRI and All India seats convert to MP-domicile seats. Private institutes keep 5 percent NRI and 10 percent IPS seats. Out-of-state candidates should read the rule book before choice filling.
