Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST)
LPUNEST is the university-level entrance and scholarship test of Lovely Professional University. The score decides B.Tech admission eligibility and the scholarship slab, and LPU also accepts JEE Main as an alternative route.

Academic criteria
Candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination or be appearing in it in the admission year. The required aggregate is 60%. Per the LPU 2027 B.Tech page, the subject combination depends on the branch: core B.Tech, Hons and CSE AI and System Design need Physics, Mathematics and English; Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace and Automobile need Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; Biotechnology, Food Technology and Biomedical need Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology. English may be waived if you studied in English medium. CSE AI and Data Engineering and AI and Data Analytics also need an interview.
Only Indian nationals can apply for LPUNEST (B.Tech). International candidates follow a different route through the LPU international admissions office.
Relaxations
- 10% relaxation in marks for candidates from the North-East and Sikkim.
- 5% relaxation for defence personnel and their dependents, and for wards of Kashmiri migrants.
Special programmes
CSE Software Product Engineering requires KNET plus an interview, per the LPU 2027 B.Tech page.
