Rank list
CEE publishes the engineering rank list with an index mark out of 600. It came on 27 June 2026 per secondary sources.
How the index mark is built
The normalised entrance score out of 300 is added to the normalised Plus Two score out of 300. The Plus Two score uses Mathematics 150, Physics 90 and Chemistry 60, a 5:3:2 split. Both are rounded to four decimals.
Board marks are normalised using the highest mark of each board in each subject for that year, with CBSE and CISCE using national-level maxima. Different years of the same board are treated separately.
Qualifying score and tie-breaks
- Minimum normalised entrance score of 10 to enter the rank list. SC/ST have no minimum, but they must answer at least one question.
- Ties: higher pre-normalised Mathematics in the entrance, then Physics, then normalised Plus Two Mathematics, then Physics, then more correct responses in Mathematics, then Physics, then older age.
Validity
The rank list is valid until the closing date of admission. There is no revaluation or rechecking. Records are kept only until 31 March 2027 for the 2026 cycle.
Frequently asked questions
Why does CEE normalise Plus Two marks?
