KEAM 2027 Preparation

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Commissioner for Entrance Examinations notices

KEAM favours speed and accuracy in Mathematics, which carries half the weightage.

Strategy

  • Plus Two marks are half your index, so score well in the board exam.
  • Mathematics has 75 questions, so work on speed.
  • With -1 for wrong answers, skip uncertain questions.
  • Practise CBT mocks for three hours.

Subject tips

  • Mathematics: calculus, algebra and coordinate geometry drive the paper.
  • Physics: mechanics and electricity first, then modern physics.
  • Chemistry: short, direct questions; use NCERT-style revision.

Resources

  • Kerala SCERT and NCERT textbooks.
  • CEE previous papers and answer keys.
  • Full-length CBT mocks.

Plan

MonthsFocus
Months 1-4Complete Plus Two syllabus with Plus One revision
Months 5-6Chapter tests and weak areas
Months 7-8Board exam alongside timed practice
Final 6 weeksMock tests and error analysis

Mistakes to avoid

  • Ignoring board marks or delaying their upload.
  • Random guessing under negative marking.
  • Skipping Mathematics speed work.
  • Missing option confirmation in CAP.
