KCET 2027 Application Form

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Karnataka Examinations Authority notices

KCET applications are online only. The last-cycle process is below; the 2027 bulletin will confirm the fee and steps.

Steps to apply

  1. 1

    Read the bulletin

Download Information Bulletin 1 from the KEA website and pick your eligibility clause (a, b, c and so on).

  2. 2

    Keep documents ready

SSLC and 2nd PUC marks cards, study certificate, caste or caste-income certificate with RD number, rural or Kannada medium proof if claiming, and Annexure-A for 371(J).

  3. 3

    Register

Open the online application link on the KEA site and register with your own mobile number and email, because KEA sends updates there.

  4. 4

    Fill the form

Enter personal, study and reservation details. The system matches study details through the SATS number and reservations through RD numbers.

  5. 5

    Upload photo and signature

Upload the files in the format the portal asks for.

  6. 6

    Pay the fee online

Pay the application fee on the portal before the last date.

  7. 7

    Verify documents

Claims for Kannada medium, Rural, linguistic or religious minority are verified at your college or a Government college. Other clauses are verified at KEA. The full application prints only after verification.

  8. 8

    Print and keep copies

Download the application, claim certificate and receipt from the candidate portal. KEA advises keeping at least three printouts.

Application fee

The CET-2026 bulletin calendar states a fee payable online but the fee amount by category was not stated in the pages we could verify. Check the 2027 bulletin for the exact figure.

One fee that is stated: practical test for Agriculturist-quota applicants costs Rs 500 for General and OBC and Rs 250 for SC, ST and Category-1 (2026 bulletin).

Documents needed

  • SSLC or 10th marks card and 2nd PUC or 12th marks card (or Karnataka SATS data).
  • Study certificate countersigned by the Block Education Officer (where SATS data is missing).
  • Caste or caste-income certificate in the candidate's name: Form D for SC/ST, Form E for Category-1 and Form F for 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B.
  • Internal reservation certificate for SC candidates (Category A, B or C), per the 2026 bulletin.
  • Non-creamy layer certificate for General Merit candidates claiming Rural.
  • Annexure-A from the Assistant Commissioner for Article 371(J).
  • Income certificate if claiming Supernumerary Quota or fee exemption.

Corrections and name matching

The 2026 bulletin says the candidate name on the SSLC marks card must match the Aadhaar and the caste certificate. Fix any mismatch before applying.

KEA also publishes dates for editing the application. Use the edit link on the UGCET page when the window opens.

Common mistakes

Avoid these

Wrong mobile number or email, missing RD number, choosing the wrong eligibility clause, forgetting document verification and paying after the deadline. A claim without verification is lost.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply for KCET without a Karnataka domicile?

Non-Karnataka candidates can apply and register for NEET-based medical, dental and AYUSH courses, where they get clause y. For Government seats in engineering, the Karnataka study or origin clauses apply.

Do I need to visit KEA for verification?

Not always. Under clause a, the system can verify seven years of study through SATS and you may not need to visit. Other clauses require verification, as notified by KEA.
