Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) B.E./B.Tech admission counselling
HSTES is Haryana's centralised B.E./B.Tech admission process. There is no state entrance test: merit comes from JEE Main rank, and seats are filled in two online counselling rounds followed by institute level admission.

Eligibility as per the 2026-27 prospectus (verified on hstes.org.in).
Academic criteria
Pass Class 12 with the subjects needed for your branch. For example, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical need Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics need Physics and Mathematics plus one other listed subject. You must score at least 45% in the relevant subjects taken together (40% for reserved categories).
A 3 year diploma with 45% (40% reserved), or D.Voc. in the same or an allied sector, is also accepted. Kashmiri Migrants get relaxation in the cut-off percentage of up to 10%.
JEE Main requirement
- A valid JEE Main 2026 Paper I rank is the basis of merit for B.E./B.Tech.
- Private institutes may change aggregate criteria for 2026-27, which is announced at counselling.
- B.Tech Biotechnology at UIET Rohtak and Kurukshetra reserves 40 seats for PCB students.
