HITSEEE 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science notices
HITSEEE is a Class 12 level test, so strong NCERT revision is the main requirement. The 2026 pattern on the HITS apply portal is 120 questions, 30 each in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English and Aptitude, in 2 hours with no negative marking.
Preparation plan
- Download the model question paper from the HITS site and attempt it timed.
- Revise NCERT for Physics, Chemistry and Maths, since the reported syllabus is largely NCERT.
- Practise 30 questions per section in about 30 minutes as a drill, and add English and Aptitude practice.
- Attempt all questions, since the apply portal states no negative marking.
- B.Arch candidates should also prepare for NATA, which the portal requires.
Time and section plan
You get about one minute per question and there is no sectional time limit. Start with your strongest subject, finish a first pass in about 90 minutes, and use the rest to return to skipped questions. Since a wrong answer costs nothing, mark an option for every question before the clock runs out.
Weekly routine
- Weekdays: one chapter per subject from NCERT with end-of-chapter questions.
- Weekend: one full 120 question mock in 120 minutes, then review every wrong answer.
- Last two weeks: revise formulas and reactions daily and repeat the model paper.
Choosing a date
With a test window of about a week and application open for months, apply early and book a date that leaves you time after your board exams and any JEE Main attempt.
Rank, scholarship and back-up
As reported, HITS gives tuition fee waivers by HITSEEE rank, so a higher score has a direct money value. Keep JEE Main and other state or private university tests as a back-up, because HITS does not publish branch-wise closing ranks.
