CSAB 2027 Cutoff
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Central Seat Allocation Board notices
CSAB publishes opening and closing ranks after each Special Round. Cutoffs are much looser than JoSAA because only leftover seats are offered.
How CSAB cutoffs behave
Only seats left vacant after JoSAA are available, and those are usually in less-popular branches, newer institutes or in categories not filled in JoSAA. Closing ranks therefore tend to be high numbers, with a few better branches reappearing when JoSAA candidates give up seats.
Use the opening and closing rank files released for Special Round 1 and Round 2 on csab.nic.in. Compare the same institute, programme, quota, seat type and gender pool across years.
Reading the files
- Home State and Other State quotas apply at NITs; All India applies at IIITs and most GFTIs.
- Female-only seats are listed under the female pool.
- A seat that opens in Round 2 only exists if someone surrendered or withdrew after Round 1.
