Strong NCERT and Chhattisgarh Board fundamentals work well for this paper.
Study plan
- Cover the Vyapam syllabus PDF topic by topic.
- Solve previous year papers, which Vyapam has released.
- Practise full 150 question OMR tests.
- Study the Chhattisgarh Board Class 11 and 12 textbooks along with NCERT, since the syllabus follows the state board.
Weekly routine
- Weekdays: one subject-wise chapter test of 50 questions in 60 minutes, matching one section of the paper.
- Weekend: a full 150 question paper in 180 minutes on an OMR sheet, then review every wrong or guessed answer.
- Mathematics extras: set aside time for statistics, numerical methods and basic IT topics, which JEE Main prep skips.
- Final month: solve the released Vyapam previous year papers and keep a one-page formula sheet for each subject.
Mistakes to avoid and back-up
- Leaving questions blank, even though there is no negative marking.
- Ignoring the correction window and the answer key objection dates.
- Skipping JEE Main, which opens NIT Raipur, IIIT Naya Raipur and other JoSAA seats as a back-up to DTE counselling.
Strategy
No negative marking means you should mark an answer for every question. Use the last 10 minutes to guess the unattempted ones.
