Using cutoffs
DTE Chhattisgarh publishes round-wise allotment results with closing ranks by college and branch. Closing ranks differ by category, domicile and round, and government colleges close at better ranks than most private ones.

Qualifying marks are not admission cutoffs
The reported qualifying marks (15 out of 150 for General and OBC, about 8 for SC and ST) only make you eligible for counselling. Seats in good government colleges close at far higher ranks, and the closing rank also depends on the round and on whether the seat is in Phase 1 (government and aided) or Phase 2 (private).
How to plan your choices
- Download last year's allotment list and note the last rank per college, branch and category.
- Order choices by preference, with a few safer private options at the end.
- NIT Raipur and IIIT Naya Raipur do not use CG PET ranks, so compare with JoSAA data separately.
