Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET)
CG PET is the Chhattisgarh state engineering entrance test run by CG Vyapam. The 2026 paper had 150 questions, no negative marking and was held on 14 May 2026.

Academic qualification
Candidates need a pass in Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics compulsory, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or a technical vocational subject. Secondary sources report a minimum of 45 percent aggregate, or 40 percent for reserved categories.
Age and domicile
- Minimum age is reported as 16 or 17 years depending on the page, with an upper limit of 30 years in some reports. Check the notice.
- Chhattisgarh domicile gets state quota seats; others compete for the remaining seats as per DTE rules.
- Reservation follows state government policy.
Reported 2026 figures that need checking
- Age: one set of reports gives a minimum of 17 years as of 31 December of the exam year and a maximum of 30 years as of 1 July, rising to 33 for reserved categories. Careers360 reportedly uses a different reference date for the minimum.
- Marks: 45 percent for General, OBC and EWS and 40 percent for SC, ST, female and PwD candidates. Shiksha says 45 percent is needed in each subject, while other sources say aggregate.
- Domicile: Chhattisgarh domicile is reported to be needed for access to about 90 percent of the seats.
