VITEEE 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Vellore Institute of Technology notices
VITEEE is a Class 12 level test, but the 125 questions in 150 minutes leave only about 72 seconds per question.
Strategy
- Revise NCERT Class 11 and 12 and solve many MCQs with a timer.
- Use the free VITEEE mock tests on the official portal to learn the interface.
- Because each wrong answer costs 1 and each right answer earns 4, attempt a question when you are more than about 25% sure.
- Do not skip English and Aptitude: 15 questions are easy marks.
Subject tips
- Mathematics (40 questions): practise calculus, algebra and coordinate geometry for speed.
- Physics and Chemistry: focus on formulas, units and short numericals.
- Aptitude: practise series, coding and syllogisms in small daily sets.
Suggested plan
| Period | Focus |

A suggested plan only. Adjust it after VIT announces the 2027 dates.
Mistakes to avoid
- Using the old 125-mark pattern with no negative marking.
- Missing the OTBS slot booking window.
- Relying on unofficial sites that claim guaranteed seats.
