Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE)
VITEEE is VIT's own entrance test for B.Tech admission at its Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh and Bhopal campuses. The 2026 paper had 125 questions in 2 hours 30 minutes, with +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong one.

How to apply

New user registration
Register on the VITEEE portal with your details to receive login credentials.

Sign in
Log in as a registered user with the credentials sent to you.

Fill the application form
Complete the form online. An application number is generated at this stage.

Pay the fee
Pay Rs 1,350 through net banking, credit or debit card, or Paytm.

Upload photo and signature
Upload a scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications below.

Download the application
Download and keep a copy of the filled-in application.

Try the mock tests
Use the free mock tests linked from the page to check the interface.

Book your slot
After the form closes, book the test slot and city on OTBS using your application number and password.

The fee is non-refundable, including for counselling. Duplicate payments are refunded within 5-7 working days.

Documents
- At the exam hall: e-admit card with photo plus one original photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN, passport, voter ID or school ID).
- Date of birth on the Class 10 (High School or SSC) certificate is treated as the proof of age. The original must be produced at counselling or admission.
- Class 12 marksheet for eligibility verification at admission.
Corrections and common mistakes
The official page we read does not describe a correction window, so check the notification for 2027. The test city and slot cannot be changed once submitted, and a missed OTBS booking is not refunded.
Do not miss slot booking
Slots are first come, first served. If you do not book, you cannot download the admit card, and VIT does not refund the fee for a missed booking.
