TS EAPCET 2027 Preparation

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education notices

Strong Intermediate fundamentals and speed in CBT decide your rank.

Strategy

  • Prioritise Maths (80 marks).
  • Attempt all questions as there is no negative marking.
  • Learn from previous TS EAMCET and TG EAPCET papers.
  • Take mock tests on the official site.

Subject tips

  • Maths: calculus, coordinate geometry and algebra give maximum marks.
  • Physics: mechanics, electrostatics, modern physics.
  • Chemistry: organic reactions and periodic trends.

Books

  • Telangana Intermediate textbooks
  • NCERT Physics and Chemistry
  • Past papers of EAMCET and EAPCET

Time per section

The paper has 160 questions in 180 minutes, about 67 seconds each, and every question carries one mark. Mathematics has 80 questions, so half the paper is Maths: budget roughly 85 minutes for it, 50 for Physics and 45 for Chemistry. Do the quick Chemistry and formula-based Physics items first, and return to long Maths calculations. Because there is no negative marking, mark an answer for every question before time ends.

Mock routine and mistakes

  • Take one full CBT mock each week from January and two a week in April and May, using the official mock to learn the interface.
  • Review each mock the next day and keep a list of wrong chapters.
  • Remember that the exam is held in multiple sessions and normalised, so do not judge your result by comparing raw scores with friends in other sessions.
  • Avoid neglecting Intermediate board marks, since you need to qualify there and the tie-break rule may use them.

Back-up options

Write JEE Main as well so that JoSAA, CSAB and other state counselling stay open, and keep a private university test such as VITEEE, SRMJEEE or BITSAT as a fall-back. Apply to TG EAPCET counselling in the first phase, with a safe, target and reach mix in the web options.
