| Chemistry | 40 | 40 |
| Total | 160 | 160 |
Total of 160 questions/160 marks is verified; the subject split follows the standard long-running pattern.
Agriculture and Pharmacy paper

Normalisation and ties
Because the test runs in several sessions, the normalised score out of 160 and not the raw score decides the rank. The 2026 detailed notification gives the formula: normalised marks = GASD + ((GTA - GASD) / (STA - SASD)) x (marks in the session - SASD), where SASD is the average plus standard deviation of the subject in the candidate's session, GASD is the same across all sessions, STA is the average of the top 0.1 percent in the session and GTA is the same across all sessions. Per the notification, ranks are allotted purely on normalised TG EAPCET marks, with no Intermediate weightage. Negative normalised marks are treated as zero for candidates with no qualifying cut-off, but used to break ties.
For tie-breaking in engineering, most portals list Mathematics marks first, then Physics, then Intermediate percentage and then age, but the TGCHE rank predictor page lists a different order. Read the official note before relying on any of them.
Rules
- Each question carries 1 mark; no negative marking.
- Duration 3 hours; 2026 sessions ran 9 am-12 pm and 3 pm-6 pm.
- Multiple sessions mean scores are normalised before ranking. TGCHE published a normalisation versus rank-band note for 2026.
