NERIST NEE 2027
NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III), North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology
NEE is the entrance examination of NERIST, Nirjuli. NEE-I after Class 10 leads to the Certificate module, NEE-II after Class 12 to B.Tech, B.Sc and BBA, and NEE-III after a diploma to lateral entry. Each paper is 150 marks in three hours.

Counselling is conducted by NERIST on campus and is notified on its website. Selected candidates download counselling letters; none is mailed separately.

Check the selection list
Selected and wait-listed names, with date and time of counselling, are uploaded on nerist.ac.in.

Download the counselling letter
Print it. No separate letter is issued.

Report with documents
Bring originals and attested copies of all certificates: PRC, caste, OBC non-creamy layer (valid one year up to admission), EWS, PD medical board certificate, Government Employee Certificate where claimed.

Choose a branch and pay
Seats are given by merit and reservation code. Pay the fees and complete admission.

The first-semester totals include the one-time Institute Caution Money (Rs 5,000, except B.Tech vertical mobility) and admission and registration fees. Mess fee of Rs 16,610 per semester is paid separately for the hostel mess. Late registration costs Rs 1,500 plus Rs 100 per day. These replace the older brochure figures; always confirm the current circular.
Things to know
- The institute is fully residential; staying outside is possible only with a parent undertaking at counselling.
- Anti-ragging undertaking and an anti-drug declaration are mandatory.
- SC/ST students of North-Eastern states may receive stipends from the state or central government, and other scholarships can be applied for through NSP.
- Attendance of at least 75% is required.
