A JEE Main style plan covers most of HPCET.
Study plan
- Cover NCERT thoroughly for all three subjects.
- Practise OMR-style tests of 150 questions in 195 minutes.
- Keep a mistake log and revise weekly.
- Also register for JEE Main, because half the seats use JEE Main scores.
Exam strategy
Start with your strongest subject and skip questions where you cannot narrow down the options, since wrong answers cost one mark.
Weekly routine
- Daily: two hours of one subject with 30 to 40 practice questions at +4 / -1 marking.
- Weekly: one full 150 question paper in 195 minutes, then review every wrong answer.
- Aim for roughly 65 minutes per subject and a final 15-minute check of marked guesses.
- B.Pharmacy aspirants: revise Biology as the third section instead of Mathematics.
Mistakes to avoid
- Random guessing, because each wrong answer removes 1 of the 4 marks gained.
- Treating HPCET and JEE Main as separate efforts. JEE Main prep covers both.
- Missing the HIMTU counselling registration after the result.
