GITAM Admission Test (GAT) for GITAM Deemed to be University
GAT is the entrance test GITAM University uses to admit and award merit scholarships to B.Tech and other students at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses. It is held in phases, and GITAM Bengaluru also takes other exams.

B.Tech eligibility
Portals report that candidates need Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Class 12, with at least 60 percent aggregate and a relaxation to 55 percent for CBSE and ICSE as printed on one site. Another site says most UG courses need 50 percent. Because these conflict, treat 60 percent as the usual B.Tech expectation and confirm in the prospectus.
No upper age limit is reported. Candidates appearing in Class 12 can apply and are admitted on passing with the required marks.
Other programmes
- B.Pharm, B.Arch, BBA, BCA, B.Sc and nursing have their own subject and mark rules.
- BBA and MBA have been reported to include a personal interview on the same day as the test.
