DASA 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official DASA seat allocation, coordinated by IIEST Shibpur with technical support from NIC, under the Ministry of Education and run along with CSAB notices
There is nothing to study for DASA itself, but the JEE Main rank and the paperwork decide the outcome.
Before the process
- Take JEE Main in the year you want to join: the rank must be from that year.
- Check that your Class 12 marks meet the 75 percent rule, or the CGPA equivalent, early.
- Get the Class 11 and 12 school certificates, medical certificate and employer certificate (for CIWG) ready before the portal opens.
- For OCI or PIO candidates, read the brochure's OCI/PIO definitions; the brochure was updated on 27 July 2026 to clarify them.
During the process
- Use the mock allocation to improve your choice list.
- Fill as many programs as you would accept, in true order of preference. You are not considered for programs you did not list.
- Lock choices yourself rather than relying on auto-lock.
- Choose willingness options carefully, since Freeze cannot be undone.
Do not rely on agents
The brochure says only the official portal is responsible for DASA allocation and that using any other agency is at the candidate's own risk and cost.
