BCECE 2027 Exam Pattern
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board notices
The pattern below is from the BCECE 2026 prospectus. Each subject is a separate paper.
Exam pattern (2026 prospectus)
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Papers | Separate papers for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM group) |
| Questions | 100 objective questions per paper |
| Duration | 90 minutes per paper |
| Marking | 4 marks for each correct answer, 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer |
| Language | English and Hindi |
| Mode | Offline, answers marked on an OMR sheet |
Each subject is worth 400 marks. 2026 slots: Physics 9.00 to 10.30, Chemistry 11.00 to 12.30, Mathematics 2.00 to 3.30, Biology 4.00 to 5.30, Agriculture 11.00 to 12.30.
How to read the pattern
Each paper is 400 marks, which makes the PCM total 1,200 marks. Negative marking means wild guessing is penalised, so attempt only questions you can narrow to two options.
Questions follow the Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Past papers released by the board, if available, are the best guide to difficulty.
