NMIMS CET 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies notices
Prepare for science, maths and reasoning together.
Study plan
- Finish Class 11 and 12 PCM concepts.
- Practise logical and verbal reasoning weekly.
- Take the sample paper from the NCET site first.
- Take timed mocks for 120 questions in 120 minutes.
Use your retakes
If the reported three attempts apply, use the first attempt as a baseline, review weak sections and use a retake to improve. Check the handout for the retake gap and fee.
Time management
With no negative marking reported, attempt every question. Go through easier sections first.
Weekly routine
- Three days: PCM chapter practice at Class 12 level, with 20 to 30 questions per sitting.
- Two days: 30 minutes each of logical intelligence and verbal reasoning, the sections that most PCM-only plans skip.
- One day: a timed mock of 120 questions in 120 minutes, about one minute per question.
- After each mock, list weak sections and fix them before the next retake.
Mistakes and back-up
- Treating NCET like JEE Main. The paper is reported to include reasoning and verbal sections.
- Ignoring Class 12 marks, which are reported as half of merit.
- Not keeping a back-up. JEE Main, MHT CET and other state or private tests remain open, since NMIMS is reported not to accept JEE Main.
