Two phases and the JEE Main route
As reported, you can sit one or both phases and MAHE uses your best score for the rank. Phase 2 needed a fresh slot booking after registration (9 to 11 May in 2026). Manipal also reportedly admits on JEE Main rank through a separate single-round counselling, so a JEE Main candidate does not have to take MET; confirm this on manipal.edu.
