IPU CET 2027
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (GGSIPU CET)
IPU CET is the entrance test GGSIPU holds for many of its programmes. For engineers the key point is that regular B.Tech is admitted on JEE Main rank, and the CET matters mainly for B.Tech Biotechnology and lateral entry.
- Conducted by
- Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwarka, New Delhi
- Mode
- Offline/online test centres in Delhi NCR (mode differs by programme; check the information bulletin). Regular B.Tech is filled through JEE Main counselling, not through the CET
- Frequency
- Once a year
- Duration
- 2 hours 30 minutes for most programme papers (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM shifts in 2026)

Source: official Cutoff Report GGSIPU BTECH 2026 [CODE-131] Round 3, dated 25 July 2026. Min and Max rank are as printed in the report for the OPNOHS (Delhi general) column; the report covers many more institutes, branches and categories (including outside Delhi, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, defence and PwD). We selected a few rows and did not interpret the min and max beyond the report's own labels.
How to read the ranks
- Seat categories carry codes such as OP-HS (Delhi general) and OP-OS (outside Delhi general); read the legend printed at the end of the report.
- Cutoffs depend on the college, branch, quota, category and round, so a single number is rarely useful.
- For CET programmes such as Biotechnology the cutoff report is published the same way for the CET rank.
Factors that move cutoffs
- Popularity of CSE, AI and data science branches.
- Delhi quota versus outside-Delhi quota.
- Number of seats offered by each affiliated college.
- JEE Main difficulty level and number of candidates.
